The Back Contact workshop will take place at Science Center NEMO in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. NEMO is a unique place in Amsterdam comprising five floors packed with scientific and technological things to do and discover. NEMO’s interactive exhibits and demonstrations of science in action aim to inspire kids and grown-ups and to encourage fascination and wonder. In other words: it is a perfect setting for a lively Back Contact workshop.
Workshop participants are free to discover the exhibitions and may enjoy the great views overlooking Amsterdam from NEMO’s roof terrace. NEMO is located in the city centre of Amsterdam at walking distance from central station and within a stone’s throw of the main hot spots.

Route
NEMO is a large, eye-catching green building in the shape of a ship. It is located above the IJ Tunnel in the eastern part of Amsterdam’s city centre.
Public transport – Take bus 22 or 48 from Amsterdam Central Station and get out at the Kadijksplein stop. From here it is just a few minutes walk to NEMO. To plan your journey to Central Station, go to the website of Dutch rail.
Walking – Science center NEMO can be reached on foot from Amsterdam Central Station in just 15 minutes. Take the station’s main exit, turn left immediately and follow the special ‘Route Oosterdok” signposts.
By car – Use a route planner to find the best route to NEMO (address: Oosterdok 2, 1011 VX Amsterdam). We advise you to park your car in one of the car parks near NEMO: Oosterdok car park, Markenhoven car park, Waterlooplein car park , or P1 Parking Amsterdam Centraal.
